Stop Loss at Entry Price Feature Guide
Published on: 2026/10/16 16:03|Last Update: 2026/10/16 16:03

I. What Is Stop Loss at Entry Price?

Stop Loss at Entry Price is an additional feature in futures position take-profit and stop-loss settings. Once enabled, when your Fixed Amount take-profit order is filled and remains profitable after deducting the closing fee, the system will automatically place a market stop-loss order for the remaining position, using the current average entry price as the trigger price.

When the market price reaches the average entry price again, the stop-loss order will be triggered, and the remaining position will be closed at market price. This helps you manage drawdown risk on the remaining position after taking partial profits.

Applicable Scope: Regular futures trading and copy trading on Web and App.

Applicable Scenarios: When you want to take profits in batches and have the remaining position automatically closed if the market price returns to the average entry price after the first take-profit order closes in profit.

II. How to Set Up Stop Loss at Entry Price

  1. Go to the futures trading page and locate the position you want to configure in the position list.

  2. Click TP/SL and select Fixed Amount.

  3. Set the take-profit price and amount, then check the Stop Loss at Entry Price box.

  4. Review the risk warning and confirm to enable the feature.

Note: This feature can only be enabled in the take-profit/stop-loss settings for an existing position. The option is not available when setting take-profit/stop-loss orders during order placement.

III. Activation Rules for Stop Loss at Entry Price

1. Evaluation at Setup

The system estimates the profit or loss of the take-profit order based on the specified take-profit price and quantity:

  • If the order is estimated to be profitable, the Stop Loss at Entry Price option can be enabled.

  • If the order is not estimated to be profitable, the option is grayed out and cannot be enabled.

  • If changes to the settings mean the order is no longer estimated to be profitable, the system automatically disables the option.

Fees are not deducted during this estimate. Therefore, enabling the feature does not guarantee that a stop-loss order will ultimately be generated.

2. After the Take-Profit Order Is Filled

The system evaluates the actual execution result of the take-profit order after deducting the closing fee:

  • Still profitable: The system generates a market stop-loss order for the remaining position, using the current average entry price as the trigger price.

  • Not profitable: No stop-loss order is generated. The take-profit order is still filled normally, and the system does not send a separate notification.

Even if the take-profit order is only partially filled, the system generates a stop-loss order for the remaining position as long as the profit condition is met.

3. After Adding to a Position

Adding to a position changes the average entry price, so the system automatically disables Stop Loss at Entry Price.

  • Stop-loss order not yet generated: Only this feature is disabled. Existing take-profit/stop-loss orders remain valid.

  • Stop-loss order already generated: The system cancels the stop-loss order and notifies you via an in-app message. The order status in order history will show Canceled. Click the question mark next to the status to view the cancellation reason.

To continue using this feature, set it up again after adding to your position.

IV. Important Notes

  1. The take-profit price must be high enough to cover the closing fee. If the difference between the take-profit price and the average entry price is too small, the position may no longer be profitable after deducting the closing fee, and the system will not generate a stop-loss order. For example, assuming an average entry price of 60,000 and a closing fee rate of 0.06%, the take-profit price for a long position must be above approximately 60,036 to potentially cover the closing fee. Actual results depend on the execution price and your applicable fee rate.

  2. The trigger price is not a guaranteed execution price. Once triggered, the stop-loss order is executed at market price. The actual execution price may be affected by market volatility, liquidity, and slippage, and the remaining position may still incur a loss.

  3. Set up the feature again after adding to a position. The feature is automatically disabled when the average entry price changes. After adding to your position, check your position and order status.

V. Risk Disclaimer

Stop Loss at Entry Price is intended to help manage the remaining position after taking partial profits. It does not guarantee the return of principal or any profit. The actual execution price of a market stop-loss order may differ from its trigger price, especially during periods of severe market volatility or insufficient liquidity. Please set take-profit and stop-loss levels according to your risk tolerance, and monitor your position and order status regularly.
